Craig Dunlop
Syngenta
Craig is the Global Head of Crop Protection Regulatory Policy and Compliance, where he leads the Global Regulatory Policy Team for Syngenta. Craig is based at the Syngenta Headquarters in Switzerland.
Craig grew up on a wheat and sheep farm in the Wimmera Region in Victoria, where he pursued a tertiary education rather than returning to the land. Craig graduated from La Trobe University, where he completed a Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Science. Craig then joined the Regulatory Affairs Team for French Agricultural Chemical Company Rhone-Poulenc in 1994.
A change of company to then newly-created Novartis in 1997 led to the opportunity to work in the Novartis Global Headquarters in Switzerland in the role of Global Registration Manager, where Craig looked after a number of insecticide active ingredients.
Surviving another merger (Syngenta), Craig returned to Sydney to manage the Syngenta Australia Regulatory Team, before moving to Singapore in 2008 to lead the Syngenta Asia-Pacific Regulatory Team.
In 2014, Craig returned to Switzerland to take up his current role. Craig is very active in the industry association, CropLife International, as Chair of the OECD Project Team, Syngenta’s representative on the Regulatory Steering Committee, and a member of the Trade Affairs Technical and Advocacy Group.
